Dear Dr Vladimir Sergeevich Popov as President of the Basel Declaration Society, I am delighted to let you know that the Board of the Society has unanimously decided to present you with the Basel Declaration Award for Education in Animal Research. The Basel Declaration Society will sponsor your participation at the upcoming Introductory Course in Laboratory Animal Science (FELASA category B accredited) at the University of Zürich from August 25 to August 29, 2014. We will cover the fees of your participation of this course, while it is expected that your Institute will cover the travel and accommodation costs. We hope that the participation at this course will provide you with the knowledge, training and connections to the relevant people to be able to establish similar courses at your home institution, the faculty of biology at the Moscow State University. We appreciate your support and help in establishing the principles of the Basel Declaration at your institute and in Russia in general.
