This conference series has established itself as the leading meeting specialized in cryo-electronics. The ISEC is initiated in 1987 in Tokyo, Japan, and organized every two years, that is, in Tokyo (Japan, 1989), Glasgow (UK, 1991), Boulder (USA, 1993), Nagoya (Japan, 1995), Berlin (Germany, 1997), Berkeley (USA, 1999), Osaka (Japan, 2001), Sydney (Australia, 2003), Noordwijkerhout (the Netherlands, 2005), Washington, D. C. (USA, 2007), Fukuoka (Japan, 2009), and Cambridge (USA, 2013). In 2011 which is the year of the first 100-year celebration since the discovery of superconductivity, the ISEC was held in The Hague, the Netherlands, as a part of the Superconductivity Centennial Conference. This ISEC 2015 is the second meeting held in Nagoya, though the meeting sites are different. This conference series has a consistent policy that the meeting has no parallel sessions, that is, the program is comprised of single technical sessions. This policy fosters vigorous discussion in participants coming from a lot of superconductor-related research fields such as digital electronics, sensors, detectors, SQUIDs, high-frequency applications, materials, fabrication, packaging, refrigerators, superconducting spintronics, and physics. The organizers hope that this meeting stimulates the participants’ researches and promotes international collaborations between researchers or research groups.
