  The GMIT Symposium on Environmental Science and Engineering will focus on recent challenges and findings in environmental sciences and engineering that are of relevance for the specific setting of the Mongolian Plateau. There are four key topics: 1) Mining and the Environment 2) Sustainable Forest Management 3) Sustainable Water Resources Management 4) Air Pollution Monitoring and Control Experiences from other parts of the world are included as additional perspectives whenever there is a meaningful transfer potential to Mongolia.
