  In 2016, the 27th edition of the International Conference on Diamond and Carbon Materials will be held in Montpellier, France. The meeting will continue to feature high level research on a wide range of carbon-based materials. Besides the traditional focus on diamond, carbon nanotubes, and graphene, novel materials like carbon nanodots and carbon nitrides are expected to play a more prominent role. This meeting traditionally spans the complete spectrum from materials preparation, over fundamental physical and chemical concepts, to applied research zooming in novel device concepts making use of the remarkable properties of carbon materials.
