World Usability Day (WUD) was founded in 2005 as an initiative of the Usability Professionals’ Association to ensure that services and products important to human life are easier to access and simpler to use. Each year, on the second week of November, over 200 events are organized in over 43 countries around the world to raise awareness for the general public, and train professionals in the tools and issues central to good usability research, development and practice. Estonia has hosted the event in Tallinn since 2008. In 2012, representatives of Baltic UX/IxD communities decided to join forces and organize a single event in Tallinn. The event was hosted by Tallinn University and organized in cooperation with EstCHI, Trinidad Consulting (EE), InterUX (EE), CubeSystems (LV) and IdeaCode (LT). The attendees (196) of the conference were mainly from Estonia (74%), Latvia (13%), Lithuania (8%). But also from Finland (2%) and Russia (3%).
