  The founding meeting of the Slavic Linguistics Society (SLS), an international association of Slavic linguists. The conference was held in Bloomington, Indiana. Local organizer: Professor Steven Franks (University of Bloomington) Annual SLS meetings are organized since 2006. In the even years, the SLS meetings are hosted by American/Canadian universities. In the odd years, the SLS meetings from 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019 were organized in Europe, cf. https://www.slaviclinguistics.org/about-the-sls/previous-conferences
