  Core program • A technical program with approximately 700 presentations in 115 sessions with popular topics such as machine learning and data analytics, induced seismicity, rock physics, seismic processing, geophysical exploration of the solar system, and more. • Four Business of Applied Geophysics (BAG) plenary sessions: The Value of Near Surface; The Business Climate of the Oil and Gas Service Sector; Is There a Geophysics Business for CO2 Injection and Storage (from Reservoir Characterization to Long-term Monitoring)? And Geophysical Business Climate in Africa (regional focus for SEG20). • Special Session on Africa — Geophysical Exploration and a Special African Luncheon, featuring Michael Nii Aryeetey, Manager for Exploration and Appraisal at Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC). Special & experimental part of the program • Keynote presentation from Michael Oristaglio, Cofounder and Inaugural Director of the Energy Studies Multidisciplinary Academic Program at Yale University. • Following the keynote will be two stimulating panels on geoscientists of the future. First, distinguished industry experts will discuss new skill sets required to make up the next generation of geoscientists and geoengineers, and then a panel of influential professors will explore what academia is doing to deliver the skill set of the future. • Special Panel on “Mobilizing the Geosciences on today’s Sustainability Challenges”. This is an opportunity to hear experts discuss the role and opportunities for geoscientists to become more engaged in today’s social and environmental sustainability challenges. • Special Panel on “Planetary Geophysics” to discuss building a bridge between the terrestrial applied-geophysics community with the efforts by NASA and other space agencies to geophysically explore the Solar System beyond the Earth. SEG20 also offers a number of fun activities and ways to connect. SEG’s Race to the Top allows you to earn points for your interactions during the meeting and compete with other attendees to win great prizes.
