  The first Scandinavian Symposium on Chemometrics was held in 1989 in Lappeenranta, Finland. SSC16 was successfully held in Oslo, Norway in 2019, and Denmark is now the host of SSC17. Due to the Covid-19 situation, the current SSC has been moved from June till September. We, the organizing committee, sincerely hope that this small delay made it possible for most of us to attend the conference in-person, once again. The symposium has a strong scientific focus and the program will include contributed lectures, poster presentations and a vendor exhibition. The symposium invites speakers from adjacent scientific areas as well as young scientists to present their research. The meeting is an ideal forum for networking and various activities have been arranged to facilitate this. At SSC17 we welcome abstracts in all fields of chemometrics, e.g. Applied Chemometrics, Machine Learning and Process Chemometrics.
