  The conference is organised by the Hungarian Chemical Society (HCS) in cooperation with the Eötvös Roland Physical Society (HPS), as well as the European Association for Chemical and Molecular Sciences (EuCheMS), the European Physical Society (EPS) and the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS). The European Energy Conference series has been launched in 2010 in Barcelona, Spain, the 2nd. E2C was held in Maastricht, the Netherlands. The topics of the Conference cover chemistry, physics and material sciences related to energy technologies. In addition to plenary and session keynote presentations on diverse energy themes. To harness safely and efficiently the energy of the Sun both directly and indirectly, as well as the nuclear and thermonuclear power generation are in the centre of the conference programme. Energy storage in chemical and other forms, hydrogen infrastructure and energy transfer by photosynthesis also were discussed. In this spirit the parallel sessions deal with energy sources, storage and conversion of energy.
