  ISOS XVII BERLIN 2014 The 17th International Symposium on Silicon Chemistry jointly with the 7th European Silicon Days Berlin, August 3 – 8, 2014 ISOS XVII BERLIN 2014 and the 7th European Silicon Days will bring together research and industrial scientists and students from around the globe to present and discuss the latest and most exciting aspects of silicon chemistry. At the Technische Universität Berlin, Germany, we will create a vital forum for exchanging new ideas among the world’s leading as well as young scientists within the silicon community – in a constructive and interdisciplinary atmosphere. Silicon chemists from different provenience in academia and industry will demonstrate their powerful dedication to the fascinating chemistry of the second most abundant chemical element of the earth crust: silicon – from fundamentals to new applications in raw materials processing as well as developing new reliable solutions for energy-saving and sustainability. 50 years ago, the Silicon community launched this exciting series of triennial symposia: The 1st International Symposium on Organosilicon Chemistry was held in Prague, Czech Republic, in 1964. Today, we are proud to cordially invite you to participate in the 17th International Symposium on Silicon Chemistry, held jointly with the 7th European Silicon Days, August 3 – 8, 2014, in Berlin, Germany, hosted by the Technische Universität Berlin (TU Berlin) and the German Chemical Society (GDCh). As part of ISOS XVII BERLIN 2014, Wacker Chemie AG will present the WACKER Silicone Award 2014.
