The ACAT workshop series, created back in 1990 as AIHENP (Artificial Intelligence in High Energy and Nuclear Research), has since then covered the tremendous evolution of computing and its applications in fundamental physics research at the forefront of both disciplines. It has established bridges between experimental and theoretical physics and computer science research, facilitating the advances in our understanding of the Universe at its smallest and largest scales. With the Large Hadron Collider and many astronomy and astrophysics experiments collecting larger and larger amounts of data, such bridges are needed now more than ever. The 14th edition of ACAT aims to bring together, once more, computer science researchers and practitioners, and researchers from particle and nuclear physics, astronomy and astrophysics and accelerator science to explore and confront the boundaries of computing and of automatic data analysis and theoretical calculation technologies. It will create a forum for exchanging ideas among the fields and will explore and promote cutting-age computing, data analysis and theoretical calculation technologies in fundamental physics research.
