Аннотация доклада:
Thermodynamical fluctuations of volume and temperature produce excess phase noise in optical cavities and seriously degrade the sensitivity of high-precision measurements with them. A method to calculate accurately these noises for optical multilayer coatings in mirrors of high-finesse Fabry-Perot cavities is presented and different strategies to diminish it by optimizing the coating are analyzed.
