For the estimation of diversification level among Dolly Varden morphs of Lake Kronotskoe the fertilized eggs of most common morphs were collected from native spawning grounds. In the net of mating pure big shallow-water omnivorous (SOxSO), small deep-water omnivorous (DOxDO), shallow water benthivorous (SBxSB) and crosses between deep-water omnivorous (females) and deep-water benthivorous morphs (males) - (DOxDB) were included; in addition several eggs of pure piscivorous morph (PxP) were collected. The eggs were transported to the laboratory and incubated in the constant temperature in about 5.5°С. The fertilized eggs for river spawning groups SO, SB and P were bright-orange, and distinct from pale-orange eggs for DO morph spawning directly in lake. The egg diameter was largest for P morph (6.9-7.0 mm), and smallest for DO morph (4.1-5.3 (4.80) mm), SO and SB morph had intermediate egg size 5.3-6.0 (5.64) mm and 4.8-5.3 (5.03) mm respectively. The larvae immediately after hatching were significantly different in their size as well as eggs were before. In the ages of 40-50 days we observed the difference in coloration between prolarva. SO morph was characterized by the black spots across the body and black coloration of the first ray of dorsal fin. The body of SB charr was one-colored without any noticeable spots, the first dorsal fin ray was weak black edgings. The eggs of DOxDB crosses had very low surviving against the control DOxDO (~2-3% vs. 95%). The reason of low surviving of hybrids was abortive hatching of underdeveloped embryos and their instant death.
