In the last 10 years interest of researchers of many countries in studying of processes of change of a natural situation increased in mountain areas. One of such regions is Tien Shan. Temperature of frozen thicknesses on many sites is close to zero, so even slight fluctuations of climate have to affect their power, a state and distribution, and also activity of cryogenic processes. Therefore studying of the Tien Shan mountain permafrost and identification of trends of its change is very urgent. In 2015 our research group began of Northern Tien Shan mountain permafrost. As in the conditions of highlands use of direct methods is not always possible, we performed geophysical works as method of near-field transient electromagnetic sounding (NTES). Geoelectric sections which allowed to estimate the power of frozen breeds, distribution zones of taliks are constructed, to reveal tectonic dislocations. By means of this method the structure of rock glaciers (a stone glacier Burkutta and Morenny). Geoelectric method NTES used by us in mountains favourably differs from other geophysical methods. Informational content and detail of the constructed geoelectric sections is confirmed by drilling record.
