Due to its versatility, the Triple Helix model develops more and more interesting application aspects every year. As of late, worldwide environmental and resourcekeeping issues tend to attract more and more attention. It is noticeable that specialists in various activity areas take an interest in these issues. In a number of developed European and U.S. countries, government is in charge of environmental issues, providing orders to universities and research centers. Large industrial companies take sustainability and CSR more and more seriously. Thus, all three main components of the Triple Helix theory, i.e. the science, the state, and business communities, are operating. We consider possible merging the two existing theories: the Triple Helix model and the Balance Sheet of the Earth. These two models have points of contact potentially encouraging the synergetic impact and faster achievement of the countries' stable economic growth. The authors of the article hereby would like to expand the Triple Helix theory's limits, and take the risk to reveal its new opportunities by means of comparison with the phenomenon of the Balance Sheet of the Earth.
