Аннотация доклада:
Upper Paleozoic deposits of the Norwegian sector of the Barents Sea are considered as one ofthe promisingtarget with significant hydrocarbon resource potential. The reservoir potential of this interval is associated with warm-water carbonate buildups of Gipsdalen (Orn Formation) and with cool-water carbonate buildups of Bjarmeland (Polarrev Formation) groups. Reservoir presence controlled by numerous lenticular and linear trends Palaeoaplysina and Bryozoan-dominated buildups. Sedimentology model based on the results of comprehensiveSeismic & Well data interpretation formed the basis for leads and prospects identification of top-priority search of hydrocarbon accumulations.
