Glycated proteins are important indicator for carbohydrate metabolism disorder in the organism. In this work we used Raman Spectroscopy for glycated proteins analysis. By utilizing pre-concentration obtained through drop-coating deposition we can determine protein composition in very small amount of sample. We obtained spectra of glycated and unglycated protein on different types of substrate such as aluminium, cerium dioxide and quartz. Also we obtained spectra of proteins on different plasmonic nanostructures, based on gold and silver nanoparticles. For spectra separation we used principal component analysis (PCA), it helps discriminating glycated protein from non-glycated one. Quantification of percentage of glycation was made with Partial Least Squares Regression method.
