The report presents the results of laboratory studies and industrial experiments on the use of aluminate waste in the production of aluminate cements. Aluminothermic slag, calcareous component and alumina in a series of rows correlated for different compositions of aluminate clinkers. Clinkers were made by arc melting at a temperature of 1600 °C. A difference in the mineral composition was observed in the conditions of rapid and slow cooling of alumininate melts. In the case of rapid cooling, the main phase was calcium dialulinate and a high glass-like phase content. On the other hand, there was an obvious crystallization of all calcium minerals of monoaluminate and calcium dialulinate, spinel of magnesia, and the main phase was calcium monoaluminate. A composition of concrete with high heat-resistant properties has been developed: strength under normal hardening conditions of 40-50 MPa, residual strength after heating - 60% of initial, low shrinkage - 0,2-0,3%, heat resistance 30 cycles, refractory +1830 °С.
