Determination of the document production time is one of the ways to establish its authenticity of origin or to establish the fact of its falsification. There are two groups of methods for establishing the date of document production. One of them is based on the establishment of documents’ materials characteristics or properties and their comparison with literature data or any reference samples. The second group of methods is divided into two subgroups: the essence of the first subgroup is to establish any changes in physical-chemical properties of document materials during the storage and documents operation, and then compare them with previously established empirical data. The use of the second subgroup methods is based on the establishment of a change in physical-chemical properties of document materials in the process of expert research. Regardless of the use of particular approach the problem of establishing of the date of document production and plotting requisites is reduces to obtaining information about changes in physical-chemical properties of document materials in the process of its “life”. Under the natural aging physical-chemical properties of documents’ materials change without artificial influence on this process. This is affected both by internal factors caused by the structure and composition of materials, and external factors caused by the characteristics and properties of the external storage environment. As a rule, the natural aging of documents occurs in the absence of the external light exposure, excessive humidity and air convection, at room temperature, in a pile of other documents. Artificial aging can be due to the fact that a document was stored or operated in conditions other than the standard ones. Intentional artificial aging in the vast majority of cases is used for unlawful purposes. There are various ways of mechanical influence on document: thermal, chemical effects, light irradiation, intensive air convection. In connection with it, study of processes occurring under the artificial aging of documents’ materials is actual. It is necessary to monitor the changes in the qualitative and quantitative values of aging markers over time of artificial effect on document. We carried out comparative analyzes on the study of the degradation processes kinetics of dyes depending on the type of external influence on document. Also the results obtained after the deliberate exposure are compared with the data obtained after the natural documents storage.
