The movement of some invertebrates inside the muddy sediments at the moment remains poorly understood. This is largely due to the complexity of visualization of processes that occur within the oozy sediments and are hidden from the viewer's eyes. However, a convenient visualization method is the replacement of muddy soil with gelatin and the subsequent observation of bottom dwellers in the laboratory. This research presents a visualization of the process of digging up by a number of sedimentary invertebrates — the littoral and benthic representatives of mollusks, annelids, as well as semi-chord, holothurians, priapulids, and burrowing anemones. As a result of this work, a series of timelaps was obtained with a captured process of movement of the studied animals. The paper presents a classification of the types of movement of sedimentary invertebrates, the types of soils in which they inhabit, and the stepwise patterns of movement of the studied animals in the bottom sediments.
