The 47Sc radionuclide shows promising interest in radio-immunotherapy [1]. 47Sc has attracted attention because of its favorable decay characteristics (half-life, 3.35 d; average energy, 162 keV; Eγ, 159 keV) for therapeutic application and for SPECT imaging [2]. Possible production methods include irradiation natTi by protons up to 40 MeV [3], at the high-flux reactor via 46Ca(n,γ)47Ca→47Sc [2] and natTi irradiation using electron linacs. In this work we have studied the photonuclear production of Sc via natTi(γ,p)47Sc from metal Ti irradiated by 55 MeV photons in raсe track microtron of Lomonosov Moscow State University. Yields of Ti and Sc isotopes in this experiment were publicized early [4]. Irradiated target weight 0,5 g was dissolved in aqua regia. The solution was concentrate to dryness and then solved in 3M HNO3. Past precipitation of TiO2 was separate by centrifugation; the losses of Sc were less than 3%. Nextly Sc was separated from Ti trace at the extraction chromatographic material DGA Resin (Triskem). The sorption of Sc was carried out in 3M HNO3, Ti won’t sorbed at it stands. Then Sc was eluated from chromatographic column with 0,4M HCl (рис.1). The results of experiment were proved by gamma spectrometry (Sc) and visible spectrophotometry (Ti). In this way, 47Sc can be produced by photonuclear method from natural Ti. The technique of 47Sc separation from irradiated Ti target was designed. Yield of scandium-47 was more than 95%.
