Catalytic protection against ozone of drift detectors of the atlas installation of the large hadron collider The modes and operating time in time (resource tests) of the ozone decomposition catalyst Goptalum the GTT brand and coal for the purpose of optimization of destructors – filters of ozone and thenumber of filling of catalytic materials are investigated. Ways of neutralization of influence of ozone on drift detectors are offered. 1. Ozone can destroy constructional materials of the drift detector TRT and the gas system of the ATLAS installation on the Large Hadron Collider and is hazardous to health of the person. 2. Ozone effectively decays on the ozone decomposition catalyst Goptalum the GTT brands and on coal. But resource tests have shown that the catalyst Goptalum the GTT brands isstable and reliable, than coal. 3. Preliminary works with the purpose of optimization of a configuration of filters of decomposition of ozone and the number of filling of catalytic materials are in vitro carried out. On the catalyst Goptalum the GTT brands it was succeeded to reduce concentration of ozone by 26000 times and to successfully prevent damage of detectors.
