Our lecture is devoted to oral utterances in dialogs of The Tale of Bygone Years. We determine that many of these utterances have a feature which we nominate illocutionary multifunctionality. It means that they are able to be used as some different illocutionary acts in one locutionary act at the same time. We examine the using of illocutionary multifunctional utterances which can be determined as minimum communicative units on the material of Old Russian chronicle.
