We report the results of our study of the interplay between star formation and ISM in nearby Irr galaxies. Stellar feedback plays an important role in the regulation of the ISM structure at the global scales creating supergiant shells (SGS) with a size of up to 1-3 kpc. According to the modern understanding, these structures were formed by stellar winds and supernovae from multiple star formation events over the lifetime of the SGS. The expansion and/or interaction of these giant supershells may trigger the new bursts of star formation in their rims, which in turn will influence the “parent” superbubble. We study several nearby Irr galaxies based on the narrow band imaging and the spectral observations performed with a scanning Fabry-Perot interferometer and long-slit spectrograph at the 6-m SAO RAS telescope; archival multiwavelength data were used as well. We compared the properties of the gas, dust and young stellar population in star forming regions in the walls of giant supershells of the studied galaxies. We detected the very faint ionized supershells inside the HI SGS of the galaxies IC2574 and Holmberg II, which had never been previously observed.
