The catalyst on the base of cerium-zirconium mixed oxide prepared using sawdust as a template demonstrates good performance in CO oxidation (55% conversion) at 150 °C and at higher temperatures. No further growth of CO conversion is caused by O2 deficiency in reaction media because of stoichiometric reaction mixture. At the same time CTAB-templated analog demonstrates worse performance possibly due to lower oxygen mobility caused by different phase composition, and the absence of Ca modifier. The decrease of Ce:Zr ratio from 4 to 1 deteriorate catalytic performance of biomorphic samples. The reduction of calcination temperature from 600 to 500 °C improves CO conversion at comparable reaction temperature for CTAB-templated samples. Promotion with CuO significantly increases low-temperature CO conversion on CZ(4)CTAB and CZ(4)CTAB(500), and slightly impairs CZ(4)SD performance.
