The thermodynamic characteristics of Hydrogen gas near a state of complete thermalization, to which the gas approaches in the dense layers of the magnetospheres of young stars, is considered. In this state Balmer decrement becomes flatter: Hα/Hβ/Hγ = 1.3/1/0.8 (see, for example, Muzerolle et al. 1998). It is less known, however, that on the way to this state a sharp strengthening of the Hα can be observed in comparison with other lines of the Balmer series.
