Polymethine dyes represent a well-established class of organic compounds and are widely applied in biology, medicine and drug development as fluorescent light-up probes; labels for cells, micelles and organelles, in conformational FRET- studies, flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy, DNA sequencing and single molecule detection and etc. The styryl-based dyes posses' potential light-up effect upon the interaction with DNA
