The social development presumes formation of citizens by evaluation of social process in adequate mode, therefore the quality and correctness of the presentation of scientific (and sociological - in particular) information in media becomes extremely important. It is possible to say that the need of sociological information in public sphere is high in Russian society, and journalists are the main mediators of this kind of knowledge. The study of Russian experience in this field shows that the interest of media towards sociological sphere and information is evident and it is becoming more and more active. Analysis of media publications held at the faculty of journalism (MSU) in 2000-s demonstrates the increase of journalists' interest to sociological information.
