We report detail analysis of the impacts of the thermal noise, critical current spread and parasitic elements on the bi-SQUID voltage response and linearity of the voltage output. These resultsm serve as a useful guidance in designing high-performance bi-SQUIDs and arrays of bi-SQUIDs, including HTS devices, as well as in development many applications such as linear low-noise amplifiers and high-sensitivity antennas.
