Two approaches for obtaining pellicular anion exchangers for IC based on polystyrene-divinylbenzene (PS-DVB) or ethylvinylbenzene-divinylbenzene (EVB-DVB) substrates are proposed. In the first approach the substrate surface is modified with polyamine containing primary, secondary and/or tertiary amino groups, and the selectivity variations in this case can be easily provided by choosing polyamine structure and the appropriate reagent for the functional sites quaternization, which can be selected from the classes of epoxycompounds or alkylhalides. The second approach includes the creation of branched layers on the substrate surface using monomeric primary amines and diepoxides. The structure of the substitute in primary amine, as well as the location of the particular amine in the functional layer can considerably influence the selectivity, especially in terms of separating weakly retained anions, which is demonstrated in the present work.
