In the present paper, I look at contrastive/restrictive markers (hencefroth, CONTR for short) in two Nakh-Daghestanian languages, Andi (Andic) and Rutul (Lezgic). These languages are only distantly related, and the corresponding markers are not cognate, although they have similar functions. Besides the discussion of the Andi and Rutul data, I make an attempt to put forward a framework for description of CONTRs in Nakh Daghestanian languages.
