The paper covers the following aspects from Russia’s perspective: historical dynamics of Russia-Turkey relations with the main focus on the first two decades of the 2000s, dichotomy of tactical/strategic partnership between Russia and Turkey, the correlation between Turkey’s domestic politics and its foreign policy according to a number of parameters – continuity and change in Turkey’s foreign policy activism in different regions, changes in its foreign policy style, tools, and rhetoric, phenomenon of Turkey’s rapprochements/alienations
