Sealing process – the final technological stage of any anodizing production – has significant impact on decorative and performance characteristics of the end-item. Durability, corrosion resistance, and also ready-for-sale condition of the product, are in the large part determined by chosen parameters and methods of the last step of the treatment sequence. The present report deals with the principals of hot-sealing procedure. Technological aspects, including troubleshooting decisions, are under discussion. Main achievements in development of special hot-sealing additives are described.
