Russia and Turkey are two important Eurasian states. Russia’s and Turkey’s concerted efforts and actions within the framework of multidimensional and multilevel partnership can serve in providing stability and security in the neighboring regions and play a crucial role in resolution of a number of complicated regional conflicts. In the context of current crisis situation in the Turkish foreign policy (except for scanty success in the development of partner relations with Masud Barzani and establishment of trade and economic ties with Iraqi Kurdistan; in the past years the relations with Syria, Israel, Iran, Armenia and even Azerbaijan let alone distant neighbors like France and Germany – remained cold or deteriorated) – the close relations with Russian Federation that had developed unprecedentedly in the last two decades represent a significant potential for Turkey.
