Polycrystalline samples of Ce0.67Pd2Al5 (I), Ce1.33Pd3Al8 (II), and Ce1.74Pd5.29Al11.71 (III) were prepared by arc-melting stoichiometric amounts of the elemental constituents. Subsequently, ingots were sealed in evacuated quartz tube, annealed at 1070 K for 30 days and finally quenched in cold water. Compounds belong to the well-known structure types: I (P63/mmc, a=4.3385(5) Å, c=16.5255(15) Å) – to the Sc0.67Fe2Si5-type, II (R-3m, a=4.37960(10) Å, c=39.1683(9) Å) – to the Gd1.33Pt3Al8-type, and III (P63/mmc, a=9.1961(5) Å, c=8.8861(5) Å) – to the distorted variant of the Th2Ni17-type. The structure of III was solved from single-crystal data whereas those of I and II were refined from powder data. Structural data were deposited to the CCDC/FIZ with the following numbers: 1986645 (I), 1986979 (II), and 1987181 (III). No impurities were detected on XRD patterns of polycrystalline samples I, II, and III, whereas EDX revealed traces of a secondary phase in each of the sample.
