Film samples containing 0,5% Arquad, were naturally aged in tropical environment in different exposure conditions (direct sunlight, outdoor and soil-shielded) for a half-year duration, then studied by FTIR, WAXD and tensile testing. Arquad-contaning samples were less durable than their MA-containing counterparts, but retained most of the biocide — except direct sunlight exposure, where oxidative polyethylene destruction prevailed for all types of composites, irrelevant of compatibilizers, its’ crystallinity had risen, and the biocide had decomposed fully.
