The paper is devoted to the studies of the textile fragments from the Nubian site Deraheib. The site is situated in the Red Sea province of the Sudan Republic in Wadi al- ʿAllāqī near the border with Egypt. During archaeological season of 2020 more than 130 fragments of textiles have been discovered. Most of textiles has been founded inside the so-called Northern Fortress — a medieval fortification remained at the site. The collection of textiles found in Deraheib is extremely diverse: in the Middle Ages, here, in the very center of the Nubian desert, was the city of al- ʿAllāqī, through which the caravan route from the Red Sea port of Aizab to Aswan passed. There are fragments of linen, cotton, woolen, and silk fabrics. Among them there are quite many cotton fabrics, moreover, the percentage of imported ones is high. The percentage of linen textiles is relatively low. There are also cases when two types of fibers were used in the manufacture of fabrics: linen and cotton. The number of wool textiles is also quite low. Just a few numbers of finds are typical for local traditions, i.e. Nubian or Egyptian. Most of textiles are tabby weave, but there are some tapestries and fragments of silk textiles woven in lampas technique. The preliminary date for the collection of textiles is end of 11th – 12th centuries.
