Literary region is a dynamic organism that goes through genesis, growth, peak and disintegration. All this happens within specific cultural, geographical and administrative borders that effect the formation and evolution of regional literary space. Two major processes are engaged in the production of a literary region, these are the literary depiction process and the memorization process. The former is based on the establishment of associative literary images of places and the regional text formation, which embodies a system of literary and non-literary components (nature, culture, etc.). Space memorization is the process of saturating cultural space with memorial literary landmarks, including monuments and museums. Borders are usually reflected in fictional space during the literary depiction process. Each point on the border becomes a place for the connection of cultures. At this point the border in literature acts a mirror that shows differences and similarities of different groups. But at the stage of memorization administrative borders start acting as a powerful filter, so that future memorization is performed only within the new borders. Only those writers are memorized whose literary places of life and works are located within the new borders. Thus, border delimitation is an important mechanism of literary region space development. One of the best examples for this is the dynamic literary space of the XX century Russia, where administrative borders changed several times. Regions of the end of the XIX century got divided into smaller regions and those new regions were sometimes composed of three or four parts of different old regions. This effected literary space and regional identity of people living on the territories. But literary space is a palimpsest, so the literary space of a country does not get destroyed after the borders change, they form a layer of literary space that effects new layers.
