Greek settlement at Chaika site was based in the middle of the 4 century BC by the Chersonesian state as one of the strengthened points on its far chora. At first, in the second half of the 4 century BC, it was a rectangular fortress with seven towers. Subsequently it was destroyed, and on its place there were some privately owned farmhouses. During excavation of several years, it was reveal planning and chronology of an architectural complex in the north-west part of the fortress. It consists from rooms of the western- and northern defensive lines, and also some buildings inside the fortress. To the defensive walls two lines of inhabited and household rooms were attached. For a half century of its existence they were reconstructed not less than three times. As a result the sizes and functions of some rooms were changed. The complex of rooms of internal buildings of the fortress also totals three construction periods. At first, it was the area, paved by small stones and a stone crumb, and small building in the south. In the second period around the area the complex from three buildings with a private bath and a toilet was constructed. In the third period in the center of this area one more house was built. As a result we can say that it was the dense housing estate which strongly differed on character from constructions in the southern and east parts of the fortress. According to archaeological materials, the entire periods keep within an interval from the middle of the 4 to the boundary of the 4-3 centuries BC.
