As a cumulative capital of knowledge, theory of international relations demonstrates that absolute security for participants in European and world politics is not possible. The juxtaposition of “correct” and “incorrect” approaches to security does not consider that the notion “security” is both objective and subjective. The ultimate universal solution does not exist. Insistence on superiority of “European values” invalidates plans for a common European security community that protects from destabilization both the EU and Russia. International security is a continuous process requiring constant dialogue, achievement and observation of treaties, and confidence-building.
