In the present study, we compare the results of spectral investigations of the positive column (PC) of a direct-current glow discharge (DCGD) and UHF and negative corona (NC) discharges. Such a comparison and a generalization of its results are one of the starting points for developing diagnostics of nonequilibrium low-temperature plasma (LTP) in the above gas discharges in mixtures of molecular nitrogen and atomic helium and for constructing of the semiempirical collisional - radiative models in such plasmas.
