The investigation of the efficient catalytic systems for the arylation and heteroarylation of amines and diamines was carried using a wide series of adamantane-containing amines differing by the sterical hindrances at the amino group. Aryl and heteroaryl halides possess either iodine or bromine atoms to be substituted for amino groups, electron donor and electron withdrawing groups were introduced in iodoarenes. The following sources of copper were tested: CuI, Cu2O, CuO, CuBr*Me2S, CuOTf, CuOAc. N,N-, N,O-, and O,O-ligands were tried in the compositions of the catalytic systems.
