Integrated photonics is widely used in quantum technologies. Traditional quantum integrated-optical circuits are usually based on single-mode waveguides. However, the information in integrated optical devices can be encoded into spatial modes of multimode waveguides, which may have an advantage. Eigenmode analysis is a difficult task for bent waveguides due to the complex dynamics of the eigenmodes, which are prone to mixing, leading to the use of computationally time-consuming numerical methods. In this paper, we propose a more efficient way of calculating their dynamics.
