The paper is focused on the comprehensive design and implementation of adaptive self-oscillations and robust systems for plasma control in thermonuclear installations: tokamaks and open magnetic traps. Two basic directions were discovered and developed for plasma control as a nonlinear dynamical plant with space distributed parameters, with uncertainties and nonstationary characteristics: adaptation and robust control. Systems comprehensive design and implementation include mathematical and technical system development and analysis, system modeling on analog techniques and computers, systems application in physical experiments on thermonuclear installations.
