Superconducting Quantum Arrays (SQAs) are homogenous arrays of superconducting quantum cells each providing highly linear voltage response to magnetic signal. SQAs are suggested to realize broadband low-noise systems including active electrically small antennas (ESAs) capable of providing both the highly linear magnetic signal to voltage conversion and high dynamic range increasing with number of the cells. Progress in Josephson-junction fabrication technology approaching nono-scale size of the elements opens up wide possibilities for designing and implementation of the systems. Differential Quantum Cell was analyzed numerically and found mostly suitable for realization of the SQA-based devices. Results of experimental evaluation of the superconducting quantum arrays and prototypes of the SQA-based active ESAs both fabricated with use of niobium process are reported and discussed in detail.
