In this presentation we discuss the effect of elevated temperatures on MI in glass coated amorphous microwires made of alloys with high and low Curie temperatures T_c and demonstrate sensitive change in impedance for moderate temperature regions (<100 C). This can be used for localized ambient temperature measurements. However, for other sensing applications the MI temperature dependence is undesirable and may restrict the commercial use of MI sensors
