For optimized giant magnetoresistance (GMR) based devises, it is important to find a compromise between certain values of magnetization, coercivity, unidirectional and unidirectional anisotropies. In the report, we present the results of our study of magnetic properties of F/AF/F trilayers with low-Ni Permalloy Ni40Fe60 (F-layers) as a function of antiferromagnetic Ir45Mn55 (AF) layer thickness (taf) in the range of 2 to 50 nm and with F-layers thickness of 10 nm. A single peak offerromagnetic resonance (FMR) was observed showing a close effective magnetization and anisotropies in both bottom (BF) and top (TF) F-layers, in contrast with VSM data where different coercivities, Hc, and exchange bias, Heb, were observed in the BF and TF layers.
