1,3,3-Trinitroazetidine (TNAZ), a high performance melt-castable explosive, has been synthesized on a laboratory scale. Burning rate measurements have been performed in a constant-pressure bomb in the pressure range of 0.4-12 MPa. Temperature profiles in the TNAZ combustion wave were measured using thin tungsten-rhenium thermocouples. Thermocouple-aided measurements allowed the temperature dependence of TNAZ vapor pressure in a wide temperature interval, its boiling point at atmospheric pressure and heat of evaporation.
