Nanosizing is a perspective approach for the increasing of bioavailability of drug substances, especially of poor water-soluble ones. Cryochemical technology is the powerful method of the drug nanoforms synthesis. It is based on the specific methods of the transfer of initial drug compounds to the gas phase, the organization of the directional vapor flow to the cold surface and subsequent controlled condensation. This technology have been used for the nanoform synthesis of endogen steroid hormone 5-androsten-3beta,17beta-diol (A-diol). This substance possesses vigorous radioprotective and immunostimulate properties[1]. Nanoform of A-diol monohydrate have been produced previously [2]. The physical- chemical and biopharmacological properties of anhydrous and hydrate forms of drug substances differ one from other, so it is interesting to produce nanoform of anhydrous of A-diol and to investigate its properties. TEM photographs of the monohydrate and anhydrous nanoforms of A-diol and corresponding histograms are presented there.
