Possibility of sorption recovery of scandium from modeling solutions of underground sulfuric acid leaching of polymetallic ores is studied. As the sorbents, impregnates based on hypercrosslinked polystyrene sorbents (MN-202), containing ethylhexyl phosphoric and di-2-ethylhexyl phosphoric acids have been used. Batch experiments of scandium sorption by impregnated resins were studied depending on pH, scandium concentration in solution, temperature and the duration.The isotherms of scandium sorption by impregnates are described by the Langmuir equation. The equilibrium of scandium sorption by impregnate containing di-2-ethylhexyl phosphoric acid is established in 20-30 minutes. The pseudo-first and pseudo-second-order models, as well as the Elovich equation, were used to process the integral kinetic scandium sorption curves. Rate of sorption is determined by the slowest stage of the process – diffusion.
